Blackstone Fish

The Blackstone fish is our purpose-built summer fish with a bit of hybrid thrown in. Styled and dialed mainly for the small, fun, east coast wet season in Bali but still good enough to ride in bigger waves when you want to.

We didn’t really want to go conventional with this fish because Bali waves are anything but conventional, they are a lot more down – the – line so we tweaked this board starting with the thickness in the last bit of the nose to give it a modern feel while still retaining modest volume upfront giving it a stable entry to the take-off.

Next, we drew out the rail line to the tail to maintain down the line speed and set a slight sidecut before the tail for when you really want to push hard on rail. This will bite hard and feel solid. The results have been excellent from Sumba to Java and the feedback the same.

This fish goes beyond the standard summer slop, they are light, fast and with serious fluid drive to fly over dead stuff and punch the life out of anything that stands up. They can also be surfed in bigger waves as well. Our team riders are showing us how.
